Forget what you think you know. I'll never forget this one time I was in an after school daycare program, maybe 2-3 grade, conversing with a girl about the books we read. I don't know if you're familiar with the Accelerated Reading (AR) Program where you're from, but you get points for testing after reading so many books, and the difficulty and length of the book determined how many points it was worth, and if you had so many points in a grading period, you could either earn different rewards and prizes, or some teachers would use the points as a way of determining your grade it that class. The girl and I had both been a part of the AR program, and when she noticed I was as well, she was quick to tell me she read at a 12th grade reading level, and then asked me what level I read at. Not knowing the amount of grades there were in the United States public school system, I told her I was reading at a 13th grade reading level. She caught my error, and was quick to point out that there aren't 13 grades. I sat there stunned stupidly and embarrassed for a second before defending my error. I'll never forget what I said. Little 3rd grade OMA responded "I know there aren't, but if there were, I'd be reading on it", both lies, to which she agreed. And we were silent for the duration of the rest of the after school program that day. I probably could've sounded out words at the collegiate level at that time, but I'm certain neither of our comprehension was at that level at the time. Now at 22, I know better than to blatantly defend my mistakes, and admit my ignorance, in order to embrace knowledge. Unfortunately, some people I've met, and especially some on the Internet on Facebook and YouTube comments claim to know everything. The better of us know that no one is without fault, everyone makes mistakes, and that nobody knows everything. So forget what you think you know, and accept the fact that we know nothing.
Philosophers often state "All I know is that I know nothing"
Einstein: "A true genius admits that he/she knows nothing"
Yoda: "You must unlearn what you've learned"
If you think you know everything, you really know nothing...
