University students from around the world have stood up to stop exploitation at Mcdonald's restaurants where they worked in Pennsylvania.
They came to the U.S. as student guest workers on the U.S. State Department's J-1 Summer Work Travel Program, but Mcdonald's turned them into exploited sub-minimum-wage workers.
As few as 4 hours of work a week at $7.25 an hour, with overpriced housing that brought their net pay far below minimum wage
Shifts as long as 25 hours with NO overtime pay.
Being packed into employer owned basement housing up to 8 students to a room.
Threats to cut further hours and suprise home visits to supress complaints
